I think it was Kylie Minogue who once said, " justice should not only be done, but should manifestly and undoubtedly be seen to be done."

Bearing this principle in mind, I would like to see a higher degree of impartiality and disinterest injected into the 9/11 Commission.

I believe that it is essential that Commission member Jamie Gorelick, a person closely associated with the controversial "intelligence wall" between the CIA and the FBI, step down from her role as an adjudicator on that body. Soon thereafter, she should be called as a witness before it.

To avoid unnecessary disruption, and to kill two birds with one stone, independent film producer Jan Chapman could step down from her board position on the Film Finance Corporation Australia and take up, by way of special invitation, the newly vacated 9/11 role. In line with a longstanding Australian tradition, we would gladly welcome overseas guest Jamie Gorelick to the board of directors of the Film Finance Corporation Australia.

It's a win-win solution.

By adopting these propositions, Australia will go on to produce a string of highly intriguing and even more secretive State-financed movies and America will get a very useful creative thinker on it Terror Commission.
